Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has said that she's devastated about Adam Thomas's upcoming exit.
It was announced back in June that the actor would be leaving his role as Adam Barton after eight years on the show.
And with Adam's final scenes due to air early next year, Isabel – who plays his on-screen wife Victoria – has expressed sadness that the Barton couple will be no more.
"When you get put with someone in a couple, they become your 'person' at work and you just gravitate towards them," she said.

"We are very close and we've established a really nice bond because we've worked together for quite a while now.
"There will be a massive void when he goes. I want him to do well and succeed, but I am devastated that he's leaving."
Upcoming scenes will see Victoria and Adam's marriage hit the rocks again when he decides to report Ross for Emma's murder.
Speaking about whether Victoria secretly suspects Adam of being the killer, Isabel said: "She's a bit worried, but in her heart of hearts she believes he's innocent. She is trying to keep him calm and believes everything will be alright in the end.
"She thinks it's Pete or Ross. She doesn't think Adam had anything to do with it."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
